Meet the Creater

Hi! I’m Anna Montgomery (she/her), and I am currently a junior at Marymount getting a BA in Dance and Media with a minor in media production. I love being outside, good music, and creating things that make people feel good (whether that’s film, food, crafts, or art!). My multimedia piece is a short dance film titled “The Vine, My Vine.” It’s based on the American sculptor Harriet Whitney Frishmuth whose lesbian identity was widely silenced and softened by history. This piece brings her story to light and also centers around the love that wraps around us and how we can extend that love on every branch in the world– even when there can be so much darkness.
