Our Mantra

My submission is a collage titled “Our Mantra”. The quote in the center of the piece is a mantra that has carried my family through generations. I feel that this connects to the theme orbit because the quote reflects how I’ve carried myself through life. As I orbit the world I bring with me my family and the knowledge that my ancestors are with me every step of the way. This is a multimedia submission. Personal bio: Hi! I’m Peyton Weeks and I am a journalism student here at Marymount. I have been dabbling in collage art since I was 9 and love that it gives me the freedom to find different meanings to art that is in front of me.
