I Still Scream

Still scared by a show
I watched as a child,
children who wake up
in an unknown bed –

not realizing a stranger
has taken their dream-filled
flesh, sad and hungry like

a night

shift mother handcuffing
drunks, a father who chases
bottled blondes to another

light

at the end, mouth taped,
wrists tied, struggling to be
I think, Be Here, to panic

flailing w/ terror, is to feel –
