“Creature of Habit” explores ritualistic behaviors and resistance to change. The dancers explore
movement motifs and partner work, portraying how we get caught in routines and struggle to
escape them, and how in tumultuous times, we need to rely on each other to elicit positive
change

Meet the Performer

Emily Roche

My piece is a dance performance exploring routines and cycles of ritualistic behavior. Bio: Emily Roche (she/her) is a Performer/Choreographer based in Manhattan. She is studying dance studies, teaching dance, and business at Marymount Manhattan College. She has choreographed two musicals (Legally Blonde, Moana, Jr.) and many site-specific dance film projects. Her choreography focuses on dynamic, passionate movement that enhances the dancer’s expression.
