Algo Automatico
By Alexis Hernandez
Author’s Note: When writing Algo Automatico I found that I reflected heavily on my time flying between both my hometown and New York. While New York is rewarding I have found that there is always this feeling of an automatic switch. When I first moved to New York I found that this switch can be difficult specifically when finding a meeting point in the middle of navigating home life and creating a life that still incorporates parts of your past.
Algo automatico entre dos mundos
Muy juntos en el mapa
hay algo automatico
1 hora y 59 minutos
Algo automatico Translation: Something automatic between two worlds Close together on the map there is something automatic 1 hour and 59 minutes The first hour is dedicated to programming You spend the 59 minutes looking at photos of those you miss The deep voice changes to a higher pitch. An accent you had when you were a child. An accent you still don't hear An Accent Your Family Says You're Slowly Losing The loss of something you didn't know was there Something you thought would be impossible to lose Words that change because you have to make it professional Understanding the difference One day you will see it for yourself a private moment to finally speak in the language you miss Coexisting One hour and 59 minutes passes again
